A beauty secret of mine is knowing the Lord. Stress and trying to live up to this world’s
standards will age us. However, God’s
love and concern for us will make us beautiful on the outside, and content on
the inside.
...In this blog, I will be sharing with you what works for me, because it may help you too. However, if you have a different belief in how you seek divine help, I encourage you to practice it.
For me, God is the One who has fully loved me like no
human being ever can. People will
let you down because we are all sinful human beings. “For all have sinned, and come short of the glory
of God,” (Romans 3:23). We naturally do what is
wrong. However, through Christ we can
overcome. “For God so loved the
world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in
him should not perish, but have everlasting life,” (1 John 3:16). We do not need to sin and let our loved ones
down. We can be set free from sin, and
reflect God’s love to others. And the
gift the Lord has for those who overcome in the name of His Son, is everlasting
life. “Eye hath not seen, nor ear
heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God
hath prepared for them that love him,”
(1 Corinthians 2:9). ...In this blog, I will be sharing with you what works for me, because it may help you too. However, if you have a different belief in how you seek divine help, I encourage you to practice it.
"Those whose hearts are open to receive the support and blessing of God
will walk in a holier atmosphere than that of earth and will have constant
communion with heaven. We need to have
more distinct views of Jesus and a fuller comprehension of the value of eternal
realities. The beauty of holiness is to fill
the hearts of God’s children; and that this may be accomplished, we should seek
for divine disclosures of heavenly things,” (Steps to Christ, p. 100, by E. G.
White).
The “holier atmosphere than that of earth,” talked about in the quote above, is probably what made me attractive when I spent time with the Lord and trusted Him. The “beauty of holiness” was in my heart. And so, today I seek to have that “beauty of holiness” in my heart so that He can make me beautiful. When we confess out sins, He washes them away, and this makes us peaceful and beautiful. And so I say, that a beauty secret of mine is knowing the Lord.
"But thanks be to God, which giveth us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ," (15:57) |
