Spiritual Power to Help You Lose Weight

You can have victory over habits that are keeping you over weight.  Maybe you know it all in how to lose weight.  However, if you don’t have the will power to change your habits, then it is all meaningless.  And so this post is about how you can gain victory over your being a slave to your habits.  It is like a Bible lesson because that is where the truth is I believe.  The Bible and pray is what has helped me to overcome depression and hurt & pains from life.  God is the Great Physician and Healer.  At least for me.  Maybe this information can help you.

“He healeth the broken in heart, and bindeth up their wounds,” (Psalm 147:3).

“But thanks be to God, which giveth us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ,” (1 Corinthians 15:57).  There is victory in the Lord, meaning, we have victory when we trust and obey Him.  He is with us and supporting us as long as we are seeking His help and are giving Him all the glory.  And how do we do that?  We do that by spending time with Him daily, and giving our lives to Him daily, and asking Him for His help.  I do not understand it fully.  God is a mystery in many ways, but we have to trust Him, because the alternative is to be on Satan’s side.  You see, there is a battle going on.   For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places,” (Ephesians 6:12).

It is difficult to know what the truth is these days because Satan does not want us to know it, and so he mixes it with the Truth.  However, you can learn the truth for yourself through the Lord and reading the Bible.  He will send you the Holy Spirit to guide you into truth.  Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth,” (John 1:13).  And so, if you really seek the truth, he will give it to you.  “And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free,” (John 8:32).

Satan does not want us to know the truth, so that we side with him and his lies.  God is not out to deceive us.  He wants to save us and give us a glorious life.  The life that Satan forfeited so that he can try to overcome Jesus.  You see, he was jealous of Jesus.  He was not satisfied to be the highest angel.  He wanted to be like God.  He was jealous of God’s Son, Jesus who was higher than him.

“12 How art thou fallen from heaven, O Lucifer, son of the morning! how art thou cut down to the ground, which didst weaken the nations! 13 For thou hast said in thine heart, I will ascend into heaven, I will exalt my throne above the stars of God: I will sit also upon the mount of the congregation, in the sides of the north: 14 I will ascend above the heights of the clouds; I will be like the most High,” (Isaiah 14:12-14).

He was able to deceive a third of the angels into believing that God was an unjust God.  And the great dragon was cast out, that old serpent, called the Devil, and Satan, which deceiveth the whole world: he was cast out into the earth, and his angels were cast out with him,” (Revelation 12:9).

However it goes, this is the truth about what is going on in the world.  Satan wants to deceive us humans from knowing the truth about God.  It is a struggle to seek God, because of Adam and Eve’s sin.  We are born into sin, but we have a way out through Jesus who died for our sins.  He died in our place.  For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God,” (Romans 3:23).  “For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him shall not die, but have ever lasting life,” (John 3:16).

But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him,” (1 Corinthians 2:9).

And so, a long story short, we are slaves to our habits because we were born into sin.  However, through seeking divine power, we can have power to overcome our bad habits.  I encourage you to seek spiritual help in your quest to lose weight.  I shared with you where my spiritual help comes from.  I encourage you to seek your beliefs for the spiritual help you need, because being spiritual is one part of our lives we need to nourish to be healthy.  The other parts are physical, emotional, and mental.  You will find I will be writing about all four of these parts of our being in the quest to guide you to be healthy in all aspects of your life.
